Pam Ahearn began homeschooling in 1982, when she enrolled her children in Clonlara School. She joined the staff in 1998 as an advisor. All five of Pam's children have graduated from Clonlara and all have gone on to graduate from college and have successful careers in industry, education and the trades. Currently, two of her children are enrolled in graduate school.

Pam graduated from Indiana State University with BS in Art. She worked in the business world for 5 years before getting married and starting a family. She has been an active La Leche leader for 31 years and has traveled to Africa, Asia, and Europe to provide intoductory training to La Leche league groups and accredit the leaders. Her experiences training women around the world solidified her thoughts that alternative education works in a wide variety of situations. Pam is still an active La Leche leader in Northern Indiana. Currently, she serves on the Board of Trustees for Magdalen College.

Pam has many hobbies and interests. She started adult ballet classes when her children were grown and has thoughts of starting a geriatric ballet company some day! She is blessed with eleven grandchildren to date and enjoys spending as much time with them as possible.

Pam says, "It is very gratifying for me, as an Advisor, to work with other families who are now in the midst of their journey of homeschooling. Most of all, having grandchildren and seeing life through the eyes of children again renews me and let's me be part of the gift of learning. We are all life long learners in many ways."
