Since 1967, Clonlara School has operated a private campus school that students attend daily.  In 1979, our Home Based Education Program was established to serve students all over the world.  Both the Campus and the Home Based Education Program serve students in Kindergarten through high school graduation.  Clonlara School’s Home Based Education Program is accredited by AdvancED.

Clonlara School’s approach to education is guided by a unique philosophy. Each Clonlara student pursues a personalized education which is developed through collaboration between a Clonlara Advisor or teacher, the student and a parent or mentor.   Curriculum materials and experiences are selected based upon the goals, learning strengths, and interests of each student individually. Coursework is undertaken with the primary responsibility for progress and completion set by the student.

The 2010-11 enrollment for the campus school was 38 students, with approximately equal numbers of elementary, middle and high school level students.  The Home Based Education Program enrollment was 632 students, approximately two-thirds of whom were enrolled in the high school program.  They hailed from all over the United States and 24 foreign countries including:  Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, El Salvador, France, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Japan, Namibia, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Scotland, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates.

There were 154 students in our 2011 graduating class.  Graduates go on to many different endeavors and each individual diploma represents a student’s particular preparation to reach those goals. We do not offer a class ranking or make statistical comparisons between or among them.  Clonlara School also does not list any courses as Honors, unless they were earned at another institution that does define courses as such.

Clonlara School students go on to colleges, entrepreneurial, athletic, artistic or military endeavors.
