Community Celebration & Reception 

We are forming a partnership with another program, a music program.  On April 27th we will be having a music recital/openhouse/reception here at school that will feature chamber groups, a cello performance, and piano performances.  The concert will begin at 3pm and there will be a celebratory receiption afterwards.  Tours will be given to our new partners (and others) at 2pm. And a reception will follow the performances.  Please join us and feel free to bring your friends/family.

Sensory Processing Coffee Talks: 1st Thursday of every month

Sensory Processing:  More than just 5 senses.  Did you know that there are actually more than just 5 senses?  Our sensory system consists of 7 categories, including proprioception, tactile, vestibular, visual, auditory, gustatory, and olfactory senses. This discussion will look at the way our bodies take in sensory information from the environment, organize it, and then use it within our everyday life.

          8th Talk:  Thursday, May 1st, 9:15am

Physical Therapy & Speech Language Pathology: Sensory Approaches
Sensory processing impacts everything & everyone! Both gross motor and language impairments can be directly impacted by sensory processing deficits. This discussion will focus how both physical therapists & speech therapists incorporate sensory processing issues into their treatment sessions.

PSS Meeting

Our fifth, and final, bi-monthly Parent Student Staff (PSS) meeting will be held at 6pm.  Theme:  deciding what next years PSS will look like.

Recap: Sensory Systems & Questions
The concluding discussion will include a recap of information presented, including the sensory systems and their impact of function. This discussion will allow time for final questions and concerns about any of the topics.
